PULSE (2025)

This is what Grey’s Anatomy would be if it took the moral implications of Meredith and Derek dating as seriously as it should. Netflix’s Pulse is fun at times and infuriating at others – but always very entertaining. It’s not quite as intense as The Pitt, but the show tries very hard not to be superficial, which helps makes the characters more engaging and the cases more interesting. It’s also very, very Miami, with characters switching between Spanish to English, just like people in Miami do in reality. Overall, it’s an easy watch and a great addition to the already saturated medical drama genre.

Pulse strives to be and is very reminiscent of medical dramas and soap operas like General Hospital, The Good Doctor, and Grey's Anatomy as it explores doctors' personal and professional lives in a trauma center. It's not the most exciting medical drama out there, considering it often leans more into soap opera elements than medical thrills. Even so, it will be satisfying to fans of the genre, who know what to expect and who will like the entertaining character story arcs. Pulse is perfect for anyone who enjoys a guilty pleasure drama series with a fun medical twist.
