The Four Seasons (2025)

TV vacations veer towards the dramatic these days, as depicted in shows like The White Lotus. But when you remove the incest and suitcase poops, what you're left with is some good old-fasioned drama. That's something The Four Seasons prioritises well with its more gentle take on vacations, four to be exact, which are each grounded by six of the best actors working today. Fey is snarkily brilliant, Steve Carrell is an extremely likeable prick, and Colman Domingo proves his comedic chops in a cosy binge that might be light on laughs, but big on vibes. Just don't watch if you're getting divorced.

Disclaimer: if you're Gen Z you're probably a bit young for this. Not that you won't love the expert comic acting and all the smart lines, but The Four Seasons taps into a particular kind of middle-aged dread that is less hilarious and cathartic if you're not old enough to start questioning some of your friend group's major life choices. If, on the other hand, you've spent years gossiping with your other half about other people's bad marriages, this is for you. If you think you might BE the couple your pals gossip about, this is for you as well, but maybe watch it in separate rooms.
